And The Forest Grew ("the app") is made by Studio Digital Caffeine. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
The short version:
The app does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal information. Everything it keeps stays on your device.
Information the app does not collect:
The app does not ask for or collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, health or fitness data, or any other personal information. It has no accounts and no sign-in. It does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services, and it has no permission to access the internet.
Information stored on your device:
To work, the app saves a small file on your device containing your practice progress (which days you completed, your tree and forest, the cards in your deck) and your settings (such as sound level and when your day begins). This file never leaves your device through the app, and the developer cannot see it.
Android backup:
If you have Android's backup turned on, Android may include the app's save file in your device backup to your Google account, so your forest can be restored if you change or reset your phone. This backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings and Google's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to it. You can turn backup off in your device's settings.
Links to other websites:
The app contains a link to the developer's Ko-fi page, and to this policy. These open in your web browser, and only if you choose to tap them. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you visit them.
Children:
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data:
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your device settings, deletes all of its data from your device. Any copy in your Android backup can be managed or deleted from your Google account.
Changes to this policy:
If the app ever changes how it handles information, this page will be updated, along with the date above.
